Dr. David Gimer is a native Iowan. He attended the U. S. Naval Academy, and then received his professional degree from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1976. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, he returned to Iowa to establish a general practice in Iowa Falls in 1980. He and Kathy have two grown children, Emily and Geoff, and three grandchildren. Emily is a teaching professional, and Geoff is in the U.S. Navy nuclear power program.

Dave enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, sports, reading, and playing bridge. He also volunteers as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Dentistry one day a week.
Professional achievements include the Diplomate credential from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (www.aboi.org) and the Fellow credential from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (www.aaid.com). He has been nominated to the International College of Dentists. He also has been a Life Member of the Iowa Dental Association, and past-president of the Iowa Academy of General Dentistry. Beginning in 1988, he began specialty training in Implant Dentistry at the Misch Implant Institute in Dearborn MI, and has offered surgical and restorative implant services in his office since that time.
