Dr. Nguyen and his wife have 2 daughters, aged 5 and 7. He and his family enjoy spending time together and also with their community. They also enjoy reading, traveling, and being outdoors enjoying nature.

Dr. Richard C. Nguyen has been practicing both general and advanced dental implant therapy for 14 years. He has a passion for dentistry as well as a thirst for knowledge. He received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Surgery with Cum Laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio in 2001. Dr. Nguyen completed a postdoctoral residency program included advanced training in root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal and implant surgery, oral surgery and full mouth rehabilitation in 2002 at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio Texas.

Additionally, he attended a one year program at the School of Dentistry Medical College of Georgia for comprehensive training in advanced implant therapy in 2004. Here he learned strategies to help patients maintain their periodontal health, advanced techniques to address periodontal regeneration of bone and gum tissue due to periodontal disease, and dental implant therapy. Patients are given comfortable, retentive, functional and esthetic implant teeth which feel like natural teeth.

Dr. Richard C. Nguyen received the Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry and the Award in Recognition of superior performance and dedication in Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen is a member of: The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an Associate member of The American Academy of Periodontology. He is accredited as a Fellow of The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is certified Diplomate American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.
