German L. Murias was formally trained and earned his degree of Doctor in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at the “Universidad Central del Este” (UCE) in the Dominican Republic. He was trained in Special Jaw Reconstruction, Implant Surgery and prosthetics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Murias has also received extensive training in the following fields; Sinus Augmentation at the Implant Reconstructive Center, I.V. Conscious Sedation at the Medical College of Georgia, Growth Factor Enhancement at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Advanced Bone Grafting at the MAP Implant Institute, Endodontic Surgery at the University of Florida, Oral Plastic Surgery at the Center for Advanced Dental Education, and Category II Dental Laser Training at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry.
He is the inventor of the “Manual Driver for Implant Drills and Method of Dental Implantation” and was recently granted a United States patent in November 2009. He has lectured extensively on this and other methods of implant placement and reconstruction.
Dr. Murias has been in private practice since 1988. His practice specializes in dental implant rehabilitation with bone and soft tissue regeneration, and prosthetic reconstruction of the jaw.
Dr. Murias is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (A.B.O.I./I.D.), Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantology, Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (A.A.I.D.), and past president of the Latin American Academy of Osseointegrated Dental Implants (L.A.O.D.I.). Dr. Murias was also Co-Chairman of a Dental Implant training program at the Robert Morgan Education Center. Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantology (ICOI)
