Looking to further his education, he completed a general practice residency at Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, with a focus on medically compromised patients, oral surgery, and advanced treatment planning. Dr. Buchanan practiced for 2 years in Denver before moving back to Birmingham.
