Dr. Louis Rigali grew up in Holyoke, acquiring his excellent work ethic in his family’s business, the original Mel’s Restaurant on Pleasant Street. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts, as well as his Master’s in Biochemistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and he opened his practice on Appleton St. in Holyoke. He later purchased the property on South Street in 1968 and built what is currently Holyoke Dental Associates.
His dream was always to work in concert with a group of dentists who are dedicated to providing patient care in all areas of dentistry. This dream has been realized through the dedication of the current ownership and association of the dentists who share offices at the 610 South Street address.
Dr. Rigali belongs to the Valley District Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Dental Society. He is a past president of the International Association of Orthodontics, as well as co-founder of the IAO New England Section. He is also an American Board of Oral Implantology Dental Examiner Fellowship Candidates. He is a Diplomate in the ABOI, and has his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
