Dr. Kolodychak has been excited to be in the practice of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Erie, PA since returning to the area in 2000. His extensive education began in Charleroi, PA, a small steel mill town in the Mid-Mon-Valley, 30 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. Upon graduation from High School, he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry from Gannon University. At graduation, he received an outstanding senior award for academic achievement and dedication to the University through numerous extracurricular, scholastic and community organizations.

In an effort to gain a broader knowledge of health care systems in the United States, he then attended the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, where he earned a Master of Public Health Degree with specialty emphasis in Public and Community Health Services. Dr. Kolodychak completed his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. Prior to graduation, he was recognized by the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons as the dental student who demonstrated outstanding achievement and performance in undergraduate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical training. He also was recognized by the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration and Organization of Teachers of Dental Practice Administration for Excellence in Dental Practice Administration. He earned his Certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through completion of his residency at St. Francis Medical Center, also in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Kolodychak is Board-Certified in his specialty and enjoys a sub-specialty interest in dental implant surgery. Most importantly, through his interest in anesthesia, he enjoys helping anxious patients to have a comfortable, and even enjoyable surgical experience. Dr. Kolodychak has hospital appointments at UPMC Hamot, UPMC Hamot Surgery Center, Saint Vincent Hospital, Saint Vincent Surgery Center and Village SurgiCenter of Erie.
Dr. Kolodychak resides in Fairview with his wife, Rebecca, and their three children, Kayla, Alexander, and Andrew.
