Dr. Rod Stewart is a 1983 graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. After completion of dental school, he served in the Canadian Forces in Ontario, British Columbia and Germany. Afterwards, he had his own Family Dental practice in Markham Ontario for 22 years. During his time in practice, Dr. Stewart has focused a lot of time and study to the area of implant dentistry and complex reconstructive restorative treatment.

In 2007, Dr. Stewart received his Diplomate in the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry. He was the 23rd dentist in Canada to be awarded this credential. The following year, he received his Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), the oldest dental implant organization in the world. Presently, Dr. Stewart is a Trustee and a committee member of the Academy. Dr. Stewart served six years on the General Council of the Ontario Dental Association and numerous committee and local dental society positions.
In addition to his clinical treatment, Dr. Stewart is Director of the Toronto Implant AAID Maxicourse®, the most comprehensive dental implant training program in Canada. As well, he is a clinical instructor at the University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine teaching in the graduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. Dr. Stewart has a passion for higher learning and education. He brings this passion to his patients in being able to offer them advanced procedures within Grover Dental Care and advancing the standard of dental care among his professional colleagues.
